With the base completely connected, the bunch of distributed limestone is called cone karst. It is the early development stage of tower karst. The peak of the cone karst is normally in a conical shape, and is distributed in the central area of the mountainous region. Cone karst is generally combined with karst solution depression.
With the base connected intermittently, the limestone topography of clusters of peaks is called tower karst. Tower karst is a further erosion result of cone karst, and is mainly distributed in the edge of the karst basin.
