Shihai Hot Spring is located in the core area of Taiwan Peasant Entrepreneurship Park. It is adjacent to Apricot Tree Garden, the national AAA Scenic Area. It has beautiful scenery and convenient transportation as it is 78 kilometers away from Kunming City and close to the Shantou-Kunming Expressway, Shilin Station of Nanning-Kunming Railway, and Jiushia tourism highway. This is a an ecological hot spring resort integrating hot spring health preservation, leisure vacation, sightseeing tour, entertainment and fitness, and featured cuisine.

Shihai Hot Spring takes quality mineral hot spring formed under 2,600-metre rocks formed hundreds of millions of years ago. According to testing, Shihai Hot Spring water is weak alkaline with the PH value of 8.39. It is also rich in more than 30 kinds of minerals and trace elements including carbon, hydrogen, fluorine, bromine, calcium, and magnesium. Among these, partial silicic acid content is 20.5 mg/L, partial boric acid content is 2.591 mg/L, and fluorine content is 5.32 mg/L. All these indicators have reached the national “medical mineral water quality standards” of Geologic Exploration Specification of Natural Mineral Water. Therefore, Shihai Hot Spring is designated as “partial silicate medical hot mineral water with fluorine” and the cold spring water taken from 600-meter underground is “partial silicate natural quality mineral drinking water”.
