Why Are There Some Horizontal Grooves on the Rock?

The formation of the stone forest starts from underground. Groundwater erodes the rock through joints and crevices. As the joints and crevices widen and deepen, the rock is dissected and initial stone teeth take shape. Subsequent uplift exposes the stone teeth above ground, and when the stone teeth grow higher, they became stone forest. Previous horizontal solution grooves made by the underground water remain on the rock surface.
