After preparing for various tasks, 30 university student volunteers provided a range of voluntary services such as on-the-spot guidance, consultation, welcoming tourists from home and abroad, etc. during the Spring Festival Holiday when the Shilin received about 307,000 visitors.

To familiar with the travel routes of the Shilin Global Geopark, the volunteers walk around the Geopark many times, carefully recording every detail they saw and heard; in order to know Shilin’s culture better, they read relevant books and get more information even from the website. One volunteer said: "I want to introduce Shlin’s history and culture to people from all over the world, and help spread Shilin’s  beauty."

With a strong physique and brilliant smiles, the young volunteers carried forward the spirits of volunteerism: dedication, friendship, cooperation. They have shown a great sense of responsibility, impressing the visitors with enthusiasm and kindness.

The young volunteers can handle every matter methodically and solve problems efficiently and let us feel the warmth of Shilin people," one visitor from Hunan province said.

“I could gain a lot from this experiences, such as responsibility, passion and determination. It's awesome and honorable for me to attend such an event. And it should be a meaningful experience for me”, one volunteer said.

These young volunteers have become a shining highlight of the Geopark during the Spring Festival Holiday.
