On October 14, the Expert Team led by Land and Resources Department of Yunnan Province and the experts on management, construction and research of national geoparks in Yunnan Province conducted supervision and inspection over the construction and management work of Stone Forest National Geopark since it was established.

On the same day, the Expert Team, based on the Standard for Construction of National Geoparks, conducted systematic inspection and evaluation centered on six aspects, namely, planning of geoparks and protection of geological sites, park instruction and identification system, park science popularization and communication, management body and informatization construction, fund for protection of geological sites and social and economic benefits of geoparks.

Based on reports heard, materials referred to and field inspection, the Expert Team fully affirmed and offer suggestions for the construction and management work of Stone Forest National Geopark: they hope that we will emphasize science popularization and education in protection and management of geoparks, enhance popular demonstration of science popularization, improve interaction, strengthen the construction of scientific research team and continuously improve the connotation and quality of the park. The construction and management work of Stone Forest National Geopark successfully passed the provincial inspection.
