Shilin Attends National Conference on Geoparks’ Roles in Poverty Reduction

The national conference on Geoparks promoting poverty reduction and seminar on geological environmental management was held in Xiangxi Geopark on December 14 and 15, and about 200 participants attended the conference.
Mr. Guan Fengjun, director of the Department of Geology and Environment of the Ministry of Land and Resources of China, made a keynote speech. Leader of Ministry of Land and Resources of China made a report themed “the significant roles of national geoparks building in promoting poverty alleviation”. Representatives from China’s global geoparks, national geoparks, and research institutions made academic presentations on geoparks’ great role in poverty alleviation.
