Shilin UGGp Sets up Sister Geoparks with Zhangye UGGp

On the morning of 25th September, unveiling ceremony on Zhangye UGGp was held inside the beautiful Geopark of Zhangye. Representatives of Shilin attended it. In the afternoon a symposium on Innovation and Development of Zhangye Global Geopark was held, which was attended by more than 100 domestic experts, scholars and representatives of Chinese geoparks. After the symposium, Shilin and Zhangye signed sister parks agreement, and both sides agreed to strengthen exchanges and cooperation in the protection and management of geoheritage, tourism promotion, scientific research and popularization, and sustainable development.
