The delegation of the International Academic Seminar on Cultural Tourism Destination Innovation Management, with professor Salvador Anton as the leading expert, visited Shilin UNESCO Global Geopark on July16 and had an in-depth discussion with the main leaders of the Shilin Global Geopark Administrative Bureau.

First,Both parties introduced all the participants to each other, then, Mr. Wang Yongqiao, deputy director of Shilin Global Geopark Administrative Bureau, gave a brief introduction of Shilin Geopark’s natural landscape, ethnic minority culture, standard management, industry development, construction of smart tourism, etc. Both parties had discussion on visitors composition, ticket pricing, income distribution and other topics that both sides are very concerned about.

International Academic Seminar on Cultural Tourism Destination Innovation Management, hosted by the school of Tourism and Hotel Management, at Yunnan University of Finance and Economics, and the School of Tourism Geography, Rovira Virgili University of Spain, was held in Kunming July  14 to July 17, 2017. The theme of the seminar is innovation management of tourism destination, some reputed experts from China and other countries made keynote speeches, and it bore fruitful achievements of paper collection and scientific results. This seminar is designed to serve for the national strategy of “Belt and Road Initiative” , to fully play Yunnan’s role of opening to and linking to Southeast Asian and South Asian, of enhancing tourism exchanges and cooperation, of improving tourism environment. This seminar will speed up protection and inheritance of the cultural heritage through academic research and discussion.
